Dr Emily Shah established Brain in Mind to offer people living with neurological conditions, and their loved ones, greater access to the gold-standard assessments and interventions which can change their lives for the better.
She works as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS, specialising in Neuropsychology. In her private practice she works primarily with people living with a wide range of neurological conditions. She is trained in multiple therapeutic models such as ACT, CBT, EMDR, and CFT. She is able to work in an integrative manner to offer bespoke interventions targeted to the needs of her patients.
In addition to therapy, she offers neuropsychological assessments which give a comprehensive assessment of cognition, behaviour, and emotion. She can offer an individualised profile of strengths and difficulties, and tailored recommendations to support people to thrive in their everyday lives.
She offers evidence-based interventions such as cognitive rehabilitation, psychoeducation, neurosurgical prehabilitation, and family/carer work. These approaches can mitigate symptoms and increase quality of life across a range of neurological and functional conditions.
